Congrats to Viviana who was selected to speak at the UK Cilia Meeting in Edinburgh on her work to identify a minimal and widely-effective ciliary targeting sequence. This sequence allowed her to build a construct and stable human pluripotent stem cell lines in which cilia are constitutive fluorescent, and can also be conditionally biotiylated and/or manipulated with Halo tag ligands to explore their biology in hypothalamic neurons, and other cell types.
