WT-MRC Institute of Metabolic Science (level 4)
Addenbrooke’s Site (B289), Keith Day Road Cambridge, CB2 0QQ, United Kingdom

How to find us: We are  located in the Metabolic Research Laboratories in the Wellcome Trust-MRC Institute of Metabolic Science (IMS), which is next to the Addenbrooke’s Treatment Centre (ATC), Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge (see map). If you are using any type of route finder, please use postcode CB2 0QQ. The easiest way to find us is to take the main entrance to the IMS/ATC from Keith Day Road, about 50m from the intersection with Robinson Way. If walking to the IMS from elsewhere in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, please follow the signs for “IMS” or “Treatment Centre”. On entering the main foyer, please take the lifts up to the 4th floor. Upon exiting the lift, please turn right and enter the double doors on your right to reach IMS reception. Should you become lost or unexpectedly delayed, the number for IMS reception is +44 (0)1223 336792.

Bicycle: Cycle parking is available outside the main entrance to the IMS building on Keith Day Road.

Rail: There are frequent train services to Cambridge Station from London King’s Cross or London Liverpool Street. Bus Lines “Universal U”, “A the busway”, “Citi 1”, and “Citi 7” stop outside the train station and go directly to Addenbrooke’s Hospital. Alternatively a taxi to the MRL will cost approximately £10 (journey time approximately 20 minutes, though this can be significantly longer during rush hour).

Car: There is limited on-site car parking for staff and visitors, so we suggest you use the nearby park-and-ride facility if possible. If you are arriving from the North of the city there is a park and ride centre based in Trumpington, if you are arriving from the South there is a site at Babraham. The Trumpington site offers the H1 shuttle to the hospital and the Babraham site offers the double decker bus service.  If you do need to travel to the IMS by car, the most convenient car park is Car Park 2 on Robinson Way (see map).
